You can totally stay up late on December 31st to ring in the New Year right with some of Young Hollywood. It’s Disney Channels New Years Eve Star Showdown.

Fans have already been busy voting for their favorite shows via DisneyChannel.com, and these votes will ultimately determine the episode lineup for the last day of 2009. The winning programs will be broadcast on December 31st from 6pm to 12:30am eastern time and its all wrapped up as the New Years Star Showdown.

Some other young celebs slated to participate in the New Years Eve Star Showdown include David Henrie, Brandon Smith, Debby Ryan, Allisyn Arm, Jennifer Stone and maybe even the Sprouse brothers. Weve heard whispers of Demi Lovato and Sterling Knight as well as watched Selena Gomez and Chelsea Staub promote the special holiday night. And we cant forget about Radio Disneys Ernie D and Jake – they’ll definitely be there.

Miley & Selena Will Be On A New One Hour Disney Special

“In honor of Disney’s newest animated feature: The Princess and the Frog, a one hour special will air on Friday, December 4 entitled, “Dreams Come True: A Celebration of Disney Animation”. The special, hosted by Vanessa Williams, will take a “look back at 75 years of Disney magic on the silver screen and a look ahead to the all-new animated adventure comedy, The Princess and the Frog.” The special will feature TV, Music, Movies, and Sports stars discussing their favorite moments from Disney animation and there will even be a sneak peek of The Princess and the Frog (which debuts December 11). Miley Cyrus, Kristen Chenoweth, Selena Gomez, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sir Elton John are just a few of the big names scheduled to reminisce about their favorite Disney animated memories. Demi Lovato talks upped Romance with Joe Jonas in CR2

“Although they recently denied they were dating in real life, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato are taking their “Camp Rock” romance to the next level in the film’s sequel, “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,” set to air sometime next year on Disney Channel. Does that mean Mitchie and Shane will share more onscreen kisses?

“I don’t know. You’ll have to watch for it,” Demi Lovato told MTV News on the red carpet for the American Music Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles. “We upped the romantic scenes between my character and Joe Jonas’.”

The sequel isn’t just about stepping up the film’s love story; it will also boost the singing and dancing. “It’s stepped up. There’s a ton of dancing,” Lovato revealed. “We had, like, 25 dancers last movie; now there’s, like, 60. It’s definitely more like a musical.”

Earlier this fall, Lovato gushed about working with the Jonas Brothers again for the film. “It was so much fun doing ‘Camp Rock 2,’ ” she said “I had some of the best memories in the world there. It was a blast. … It was incredible being back with the cast from the first one, and we had new castmembers. We were so excited to be able to shoot again and make new friendships. I loved it.”"

Kevin Jonas Likes To Be Under Pressure

Kevin Jonas, the eldest of the US boy band ‘The Jonas Brothers’, who juggles between music and acting, says he works best under pressure.

The 22-year-old pop star features in the hit TV sitcom ‘JONAS’, which is based on the the life of the brothers Nick, Joe and Kevin and their band.

The 22-year-old rocker said he would memorize his lines just before going on the sets to film it.

“I look at my lines, typically, before I walk to the set to film it. Not everybody does that, but I do. I became really good at memorising my lines quickly and under pressure. I think being under pressure helps me,” Kevin told PTI in an email interview.

The young star insists that this unpreparedness goes well with his onscreen character.

Camp Rock 2 Details Includes Official Trailer

Kevin Jonas has revealed that he and Nick will have bigger parts in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock 2.

As Kevin Jonas told Associated Press, “Nick and I have bigger pieces to do in this movie, we have individual storylines, which makes it very cool and there’s different love interests. I work with the junior rockers who are the newest members of the camp and I’ve got to make sure they feel comfortable – and it’s a lot to handle but it works out in our favour.”

It had already been confirmed that Nick’s love interest in Camp Rock 2 will be Chloe Bridges and that Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato will share an on-screen kiss.

Disney Channel New Year’s Eve Programming

Disney Channel viewers will be able to vote for the New Year’s Eve programming lineup at DisneyChannel.com beginning Friday. After all the voting is done, the programs that have won will air on December 31st from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. This will all be done in a special block of programs titled “New Year’s Star Showdown.” It will not just be your favorite shows, as Disney has a bit more in store for the viewers. During “New Year’s Star Showdown” we will have stars including Demi Lovato, Emily Osment, Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Cole Sprouse, Dylan Sprouse and Selena Gomez competing in game show challenges. I remember them doing something like this during the summer as well, I always find them fun to watch. But let us talk about voting. I will be voting for Selena Gomez and Wizards of Waverly Place first. After Wizards I do like Sonny with a Chance probably second and then I will say Hannah Montana. I will watch Suite Life though if nothing else is really on. Jonas Brothers was never really my thing and Phineas and Ferb never made my cut either. If they are asking to pick our favorite episodes I have to see the list on Friday before I can make any voting decisions, because a good Hannah Montana will trump a bad Sonny with a Chance episode. Still I could just watch a Wizards marathon and be happy.
